A research team led by Professor Jinlin Han and Dr. Jun Xu from NAOC revealed the huge magnetic toroids in the halo of the Milky Way, which is fundamental for cosmic ray propagation and provides crucial constraints for understanding the physical processes of interstellar medium and the origin of cosmic magnetic fields. The result has been published by the Astrophysical Journal on May 10th 2024.
