Abstract:
The inflationary scenario, the current paradigm for early universe cosmology, suffers from several conceptual problems which motivate the search for an improved theory. I will explore the possibility that superstring theory can yield a new early universe cosmology, and will present ways to test such a new theory with cosmological observations.
